A private group tour for attendees and their spouses -- this 90 minute tour is the premier Austin sightseeing tour packed with 30 miles of entertaining and interesting information about all there is to see and do in Austin. It’s an Overture of Austin!
The map - below - shows the tour route. This 30 mile tour drives past more than 30 major historical and cultural points of interest. In addition to these locations the tour provides an overview of our history and geology. It is entertaining and educational for visitors and new residents as well as Austinites who want to learn a little more about their city.
Dow Davidson, one of the company owners, and Texas history buff whose great-great-grandfather founded the Texas town of Leakey, selected more than 30 historical and cultural points of interest on the 30 mile tour route, providing riders with interesting and fun facts about the places and people that made Austin. He narrates the tour with his son Graham. The Fence Cutters, from the celebrated Austin music scene, provide the background music.
